Wipro Elite NTH: the test pattern and how to prepare for it
Wipro describes Elite as its technical graduate hiring program for newly graduated engineers across the country, and the National Talent Hunt, the NTH, is the test that feeds it. The program has been stable in shape for years: one online assessment with an aptitude part, a written-communication task and a coding part, then a discussion with the business, then an offer for the Project Engineer designation. Turbo, often mentioned in the same breath, is described by Wipro as a different program that recruits from a set of premier institutes.
This page gives the pattern in two layers: what Wipro states on its own pages, including the NTH announcement it published on the university recruitment platform Superset, and what prep sites and candidates report about the current sections and timings, which Wipro does not publish. Each is marked. It ends with the sections mapped to the December Code subjects that prepare for them and a practice set of pages whose samples are already public.

This page summarises how Wipro Elite NTH is publicly described, from the sources listed at the end, checked on 29 September 2026. Where a detail comes from prep sites or candidate reports rather than Wipro itself, the page says so. The notification or test invitation for the drive you are sitting is the source of truth, and where it differs from this page, it is right.
How the process runs
A round is marked official when Wipro describes it on its own pages, and commonly reported when the description comes from prep sites and candidate reports.

Registrationofficial
Wipro's NTH announcement lists four stages, starting with registration through the drive's platform. Its Superset announcement for the 2023 batch set a B.E. or B.Tech degree as compulsory, a 60% or 6.0 CGPA bar in graduation and 60% in classes 10 and 12, full-time courses only, and excluded a few branches; the criteria for the drive you sit are in its own notification.

Wipro's announcement describes an online assessment that tests verbal, analytical, quantitative and written communication skills, followed by coding, and says eligible candidates are invited in batches. That announcement gave the assessment as 80 minutes for the 2023 batch; prep sites report a longer format now, described below.

What the test asks, and what prepares you for it

What is fixed and what moves between drives
The shape is fixed and Wipro states it: aptitude, written communication, coding, then a business discussion. The numbers are not. Wipro's own announcement for the 2023 batch put the whole assessment at 80 minutes; the pattern prep sites report for recent drives is closer to 128 minutes, with 48 minutes of aptitude across three timed sub-sections, 20 minutes for the essay and 60 minutes for two coding problems. One of those prep sites says plainly that Wipro does not publish a single 2026 specification and that its table is a preparation baseline, not a promise. That is the right way to read every figure on this page: the assessment invitation you receive overrides all of them.
Two features are reported consistently and matter for strategy. There is no negative marking, so nothing should be left blank. And navigation is one-way: each sub-section closes when its time ends and cannot be revisited, so a question that is not going anywhere should be guessed and abandoned rather than nursed.
Where marks are lost
The aptitude part is a speed test with roughly a minute per question, and the verbal sub-section is reported to be the tightest. Students who fail it usually fail on time rather than difficulty, and the fix is the same as for every service-company paper: know the standard shapes of percentages, work, speed, series and coding-decoding well enough that the method is chosen in seconds. The essay is reported to be marked mechanically, which rewards a plain four-paragraph structure with correct grammar over vocabulary.
The coding part is where the Elite offer is decided, and candidates report that the problems are implementation problems rather than algorithmic puzzles: loops over arrays and strings with a condition to satisfy, sorting, occasionally a stack. Passing the visible test cases is not enough; hidden cases test the edges, so the habit that pays is handling empty input, single elements and boundaries before submitting.
Turbo, and what it is not
Wipro's Early Careers page describes Turbo as a technical hiring program that recruits from 46 premier institutes, including IIITs, NITs and selected private colleges, with exposure to niche technologies and certification programs. Some prep sites describe Turbo as a higher-package track reached by scoring well in the Elite assessment's coding section; Wipro's page does not say that, and this page does not repeat it. If your college is not on Wipro's list for Turbo, the route is Elite, and the Elite pattern above is the one to prepare for.
What the business discussion asks
Reports of the discussion are consistent across years: introduce yourself, walk through your project, then questions on the language you claim, object-oriented basics with an example, SQL queries and normalisation, a data-structure question, and for non-CS branches the fundamentals of your own subject. The HR part covers relocation, the training period and whether you have other offers. What December Code covers here, and what it does not
The diagnostic and practice cover Aptitude, DSA, OOP, DBMS, SQL, Java, C, Python: the subjects behind 3 of the 5 sections above. It does not cover the following, and no page here pretends to:
- Verbal Ability and the written-communication essay: two of the five parts of the assessment are English, and December Code neither tests nor practises them.
- The coding judge: the two coding problems are executed against hidden test cases. December Code prepares the data-structure reasoning and the language traps in MCQ form; it does not run your code.
- Eligibility, batches and dates: they are in Wipro's notification for each drive and change between drives.
What could not be confirmed from Wipro
- The current section counts and timings (16, 14 and 22 aptitude questions in 48 minutes; a 20-minute essay; two coding problems in 60 minutes) are prep-site reports. Wipro's own announcement we could read gave 80 minutes for the 2023 batch and no breakdown.
- Any link between the Elite assessment's coding score and a Turbo offer. Wipro describes Turbo as a separate program for premier institutes.
- Cut-offs of any kind, including the percentile figures some prep sites print.

How the diagnostic asks it
One public question per subject, the same one its hub shows. The answer is marked because these are public; in a sitting you choose first, then see why each option is right or wrong.

65% of 80 = (65/100) x 80 = 52. So 52 students passed the exam.
Which of the following operations on an unsorted array of n integers takes O(n) time in the worst case?

In an unsorted array the maximum could be anywhere, so every element must be examined: O(n). Indexed reads are O(1) because the address is computed from the base and the index; appending into existing spare capacity just writes one slot, O(1); and the length is stored, so reading it is O(1). Only a sorted array would let the maximum be read directly.
