The terms, in plain words.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

December Code (“December Code”, “we”, “us”) provides the website at decembercode.tech and the placement-readiness diagnostics, practice, roadmap and mock tests offered on it (the “service”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the service. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and our refund and cancellation policy covers payments; both are part of these terms.

2. What the service is, and is not

The service is a preparation tool. It measures how ready you are in the subjects software placement rounds test, tells you what to fix, and gives you practice. It does not recruit, place, or guarantee employment, interviews, offers or any outcome. No employer sees your scores. A readiness figure is a measurement of the questions you answered in one sitting, not a prediction about you.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18, or use the service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• One account per person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us accurate details (name, email, college, graduation year) and keep them current on your profile.
• You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and data, write to support@decembercode.tech from the account’s email address.

4. Free and paid plans

• Free: 1 diagnostic a month and 15 practice problems a day, every subject, every explanation. Free does not expire and needs no card.
• Paid: ₹299 / month or ₹2,499 / year, in Indian rupees, as shown on the pricing page. Paid removes the daily practice cap and adds unlimited retakes, the personalised roadmap and mock tests.
• Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed through Razorpay (UPI Autopay or a card e-mandate). Your plan renews at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your profile; cancellation takes effect immediately at Razorpay, no further charges are made, and your paid access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
• Refunds are governed by the refund and cancellation policy.
• If we change a price, the change applies to renewals after we have told you by email, never to a period you have already paid for.

5. Acceptable use

The service is for your own preparation. Do not:

• copy, scrape, extract or redistribute the question bank, explanations or pages, by hand or by automation;
• share, sell or transfer your account, or use someone else’s;
• work around limits, rate limits or paid gates, or probe the service for weaknesses;
• upload or send anything unlawful, or use the service to harm others.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where practical we will tell you why.

6. Content and intellectual property

The questions, explanations, diagnostics, pages, design and name of December Code belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own preparation and quote short excerpts with attribution; you may not republish them. Your answers and results are yours; we use them to run the service for you and, only in anonymised, aggregated form, to improve it and to publish general findings — see the privacy policy.

7. Accuracy

Every question is checked in two passes before it is published, and we correct errors when they are reported — but errors are possible. If a question, answer or explanation looks wrong, tell us at support@decembercode.tech with the question id. Do not treat any single score, tier or recommendation as a fact about your ability; treat it as one measurement to act on.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may change or withdraw features over time; if a paid feature is withdrawn during a period you have paid for, we will tell you and offer a fair remedy. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those the law requires.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost opportunities, offers or earnings) arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

11. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top and, for changes that matter to paying users, tell you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
